Using your blood pressure monitor

Your Lloydspharmacy blood pressure monitor is easy to use at home. Simply place the cuff on your arm – ensuring that it is level with your heart – then inflate it by pressing the start button and relax and wait for your results. Your blood pressure test gives you two readings:

Systolic blood pressure reading

This is when blood pressure is at its highest – when your heart beats to pump the blood.

Diastolic blood pressure reading

Always a lower reading, this is your blood pressure when your heart relaxes between beats.
